Second time...would a 2000+ stock radio (specifically 2001 cav. z-24 cd cassette player) work on a previous jbody car like a 1997 Sunfire?

i believe you can make it work. however, if the radio has the rds system (which it does) it will need to be flashed by the dealership. the radio holds your car's vin number so that if someone steals it from your car it won't work in whatever they try to put it in. it'll need to be flashed to erase the previous owner's vin to work in your car.
