I don't have the luxury of photoshop, but have done most of these tutorials at one time or another just to see if I could. Start small then work towards image editting. Lots of smudge, healing brush and image composition tuts in here.

@ Admiral, since you do not have PS, do you use Gimp?

@ Justin Leo, read the tutorials Admiral posted, but trial and error is the is going to play a major part in learning it. It Took me many, many botched paintjobs to get used to it. Save often so you never have to scrap your progress because of one oops!

Ctrl+Alt+Z will become your best friend! LOL

@ ZER - yep

and any time you modify a piece of an image, set it as a different layer, always keep a clean original.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that, I always keep the original, copy it to another layer before starting any manipulations.

How you like gimp, I hear is is just as good a PS, but FREE. Wish I would have known about Gimp before I bought PS CS2, but then again gimp, I think, was released after I bought PS.

Anyhow, you do great work with it Admiral558!

It doesn't have as many tools as photoshop, or filters or wrapping one image to another, but it does the job. Downlinx and Prowler are much better, but I'm not sure what they use. I'm forgetting a few others who have much better skills and frequent the image manip section..sorry guys.
