she is giving him a few shirts for his work. she IS paying for it, just not with money.
first, only the first and last pics would look decent imo. the others have part of the car chopped off and a 3/4 shot will always make the best toon. second, go out somewhere where you won't get tree shadows on the car and take some nice high res shots. third, if you want a really good toon it might end up costing you a few $$.

Must you Thread Jack Every Topic? I was telling him $40 is worth it. Nate was making the Toon for me before i even posted on the org. Geeez! Nate never wanted money, I think since he made the toon for free for me he will get plenty of $$$ offers from other ORG members. If you have nothing nice to say then do us all a favor and keep it to yourself, especially since you had no idea Nate and I had it planned out for him to make my toon long before i posted on the ORG last week.

yikes what did i start? ZeeTwankyfo, that is an amazing job on Ashley's car, but i'm not looking to spend that much. I understand the hard work and how time consuming it is. I don't "need" a toon of my car, I just thought they were pretty cool so I was wondering what someone could do with mine since it has the chameleon. Thanks for the offer though and I hope to see some more of you work soon, it's awesome. For anyone else who might be interested, this picture was taken today(not the best lighting, takes away from the paint but it's big).

LOL, Titus grow up, you jacked my thread and you jacked this thread. So if I haven't jacked anyones thread and you never see me going into someone else's thread starting crap, then how am I a drama queen? All that was said was WELL WORTH THE $$$ RICH. No where did I say he had to pay for it. I simply stated it was worth the money if he wanted one done by Nate. Man some people on this site just need to grow up and process their thoughts before they post them.

When Nate did mine he wanted the car to be on a flat surface and the picture taken like you were laying on the ground looking at the car. If you don't know what I mean I will post a picture for ya. But car looks good and hopefully you can find someone that would be willing to do it for you, but Nate does do an excellent job, but I too go to school full time so I know money gets tight, Good Luck Buddy

me and ash worked out our misunderstanding in the other thread.
but ashley, you were the one in the other thread, that thought it was blasphemous to have to pay for a toon. and totally tried going off on me when i suggested you should offer $$$ in order to get a top of the line toon. (didnt say you HAD to just that it would help)
everyone else in that other thread were simply confirming the fact that quality work deserves $$$ (anyone in that thread who thought it SHOULD be done for free, are simply... not artists nor do they appreciate hard work and art)
so while i am very satisfied me and you worked out our issues in the other thread, i dont feel it is your possition to tell OTHER people that they were the ones that started drama.

For one I didnt tell him to pay for it, Nate said he would do it for $40 and all that was said is its Well worth the money, that is if he wants to spend it, so how is that starting drama? Its not, its simply stating that Nate will do it for $40 and he did an excellent job on mine so if he wants him to do it then its worth it. For Two, When I got mad at you, your words you typed said I should pay because I have a nice car. After talking to you I know you didn't mean what you posted, IF YOU WOULD HAVE SAID EVERYONE PAYS FOR TOONS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DIFFERENT STORY. BUT THATS NOT WHAT YOU SAID WAS IT. People on the org need to read. And for the last time, Nate was doing my toon before I ever posted on the org. Nate and I talked about the toon being made when the car was totally done. I wanted to see what others could come up with and thats why I posted on the org for one. But as for certain people coming in on this thread and stirring crap I think its uncalled for and childish, especially when no one said anything to offend them. So telling someone that Nate's work is worth it isn't going against what I said in the first thread, Nate didn't EVER WANT ME TOO PAY HIM!!!!! He WANTED TO DO IT!!!! So why would I pay someone on the org when he would said he would do it. And he did it because he liked my car and wanted too, so maybe when I posted for some other toon ideas I thought that other people would want to do it for the same reasons as him. I told Rich that I understood why he didnt want to pay since money is tight. Buts its funny that I say its worth it and I get yelled at, Grow up either its not worth it or it is and this childish back and forth jack posting BullSh*t is getting old. Didn't realize that telling someone that someones work is well worth it was wrong.
I guess being nice to someone on the org is a crime since you never really see it done here by people.
Oh and so you know, I am giving Nate shirts in exchange for his work and so you know those shirts just to make is over $65 for them just to make the screen and thats not including the price of the shirt. So you tell me, was his work for free? No $40 would have been cheaper, but I RESPECT Nate and his work. So I offered him some shirts for his work. So until people know how much $$$ is involved to make these shirts then I think they need to back off and relax. Because Nate is getting things in exchange and so would anyone else that did a toon for me. So BACK OFF!

i was very SIMPLY commenting on the fact that you were saying that in the other thread, titus, and some others were the one that "started" drama. which is indeed untrue. If i see that another person, is talkign about someone else in a untrue fashion, and i know otherwise, im going to speak up. that is my nature. i will call people on anything and everything if it is untrue or wrong.
im extremely happy u got a free toon. frankly u got an exception to the rule. and you got it because Z REALLY liked your car. and thats awesome. and im glad that AFTERwards you decided to compensate him in SOME way. and i respect you for doing that much after the fact.
ur whole post was commenting on things i had no issue with. my ONLY comment to you, was that i do not feel you are in a possition to tell other people that THEY were the ones that started drama in the other thread. that is all.

thats what i do with everyone in the IM forum. i try to be as helpfull as i possibly can be. i created the sticky so less people would get flamed for repeated questions. i created my site so more people could get into photochopping and learn with tutorials. and that the contests could be run easier.

I dont mind doing SOME toons for free. like the toon of the Mitsubishi Galant (
http://www.deviantart.com/view/20164179/ ) the only things i want when doing toons for free is, the image MUST be 1280x1024 or higher (bigger the picture the better), and for there not to be LOTS of reflections in the vehicle.
just PLEASE no one ask for me to toon their vehicle after I finish this one, I usually like to wait a month or so before starting on another chop/toon. otherwise I'll just get bored of it. lol

Thats fine Nathaniel and I'm glad you understand what I said about its well worth it. " I am one of those that get flammed for no reason because of my car. I like you will stand up against people when people are being rude and childish and the two in this thread have been in several of my threads and other people's threads talking crap. Its not just one. I get tired of it, certain people need to grow up on this site and learn if you don't have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all. I know alot of people have stopped posting because of people like that. It seems that no matter what I say on this site, just like saying that someones work is worth it, I get flammed by someone and I have frankly gotten tired of it. And so do others, people just want to post and talk with people and get help if needed not fight all the time. But thanks for clearing it up and no hard feelings I just get sick and tired of certain people ruining a perfect thread.
