what about the harness to the fuel pump in the gas tank or should i change that also? is the trany mount holes on the body of the car the same or would i have to drill out new ones? so basically i have to take everything out and just switch everything over. and does that also mean the fuse box panels also. let me know becouse this should be a good winter project for me to do to get ready for the upcoming car season

the only similarity between the two cars is the unibody, suspension, and brakes. EVERYTHING else, every wire, every single piece dealing with the powertrain, drivetrain, fuel system, emissions system, EVERY SINGLE PIECE needs to be swapped over.

You also have to weld in the proper tranny mounts for the Getrag. So actually you need everything and alittle more.

Weld, you will probably have to go to the junkyard and cut one out. I don't think that is a part the dealership carries..

depends. do you mind having your check engine light on, as well as the abs light (and traction control if so equipped) on constantly?

then yes, you can run a manual trans car with an auto harness. but seeing as you have to swap every single wire over, why not get the right harness and do the job properly?

Yup, b/c everything changed w/ the BCM and fuel tank/lines ofn the '00s.
I had (still do, but it's dead) a '00 z24 convertible. the LD9 went in it, then people vandalized it to all hell in back after i moved back to ohio. So the vert top was destroyed with most of the car. Kept it out at a friends house on private property, but i guess that wont stop @!#$s lol
