This is my first post,
i have a 97 sinfire witht the 2.2
I have a custom cold air intake. thats it for parts ive put in
im looking for more ideas for my car
Something people wouldnt naturally expect from a jbody
everyone around here are @!#$ nuts about civics and its getting old
and im not rich so i cant do too much fabricating, though i am up for lil by lil upgrade projects
sadly, unlike a civic, everything on this platform is expensive.pay to play is the keyword here. if you're serious about making your car faster, eco swap it. or, save some cash, sell your car, buy one with an eco in it. or v6 swap. otherwise, prepare to always be slow.

I have a 97 Sunfire with the 2.2 as well... it will never be fast. Turbo, yet itll definately blow. So building motor is in order, and even after that, a motor swap would be cheaper. And when it comes to motor swap, might as well buy a GT or Eco Sunfire, cuz you will have to swap trannys as well anyways.
Dont race the car. Get a faster one.
its not that imma race my car, i just want something lil different.
and in my part of va everything and i mean everything is overpriced, while everyone is underpaid.
in any part of VA that is the case.....

that's if you put it over 6 PSI.

Out of what turbo? 16G? 20G? GT3071R? GT35R? Different turbos flow different CFMs at the same psi.

...or if you don't upgrade your oil pump, it seizes and blows your bottom end
wait....you can only run 6psi on them......crap
SHHHHH, no one tell my motor that.

If you have a Sunfire, and not a Civic... then you already have something different!
Here's something you have, that the Civics don't... and likely never will - torque. Enjoy it, because they can't.
and while you enjoy that torque, the honda will enjoy the finish line first.
- Your not-so-local, untrained, uncertified, backyard mechanic. But my @!#$ runs
depends on if it has a few mods or not. a stock civic, even with the larger motor (coupe) depending on year that is, has an average passing of 19-20 second passes.
my roommate has a honda accord, 4 cyl vtec, and ive beaten him from a dig and a 30 roll
same with civics on the road, but then again ive been driving since i was really young
