Clutch, flywheel , from 2.2, fit on a 3100?

Hey guys, just doing a little bit of homework here before i start my swap, ill fill you in. I have a 2002 3100SFI v6 out of a malibu, car had 132,000km on it, engine runs great, but i'm rebuilding it for maximum factory output. i have an aftermarket cam for it, and the heads are getting plained, ported and polished. wiring wont be much of an issue, my father has been a gm certified tech for over 30 years so, its nothing we can't handle. i have a 1999 sunfire with a 2200, i just recently install a new exedy stage 2 clutch kit and a fidanza lightweight flywheel. My question is, will the clutch assembly and flywheel bolt onto the 3100, or will i have to buy a whole new setup? thanks for your time guys.

Sure will. I'm using an oem 2.2 flywheel and Spec 2.2 clutch on the 3400 (same crank end as the 3100)... Just needed to remove the spacer behind the flexplate first.

As long as you keep the clutch kit that goes with that transmission, you'll be fine. Just swap the flywheel right over.

What cam are you getting?
