Does anyone know where the PCV valve is located on a 2000 2.4L.... I need to replace it and am not sure exactly where it is located. Also any other info about replacing this would be appricated.

General Motors decided instead of putting a Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve in the LD9, they put in an Oil/Air Separator.
why do you think you need to replace it?
because i'm burning oil and my car is ideling high...it was just a thought because i learned about it in class yesterday ... if it's not that i'm thinking its the o2 sensor.... any idea about what else it might be???

Its easy if you have some skill with a ratchet, the Oil/Air Separator is located Under the Intake Manifold. So basiclly you need to remove TB and intake manifold. Get a Haynes manual it makes it very easy. Its hard to explain the location of this item since i have no pics...
How much oil are you burning?? Enough to make blue smoke?
A little oil used between changes is normal on a 2.4L. I would usually be a quart low every 5,000 kms.

quart? that seems like a bit much to me i barely loose anything between changes.
yea i lost a quart or so with in the first 3000 kms after the oil change..... and i do have a slight knock some times like after drive hard.... but it seemd to have disapeared when i got this hiigh idle. my prodections are that its either the oil/ air seperator or a faulty o2 sencor causing it...so i'm gonna try replacing the oil/air seperator first... Also my exhaust manifold is leaking could that cause the o2 sensor the get a bad reading, causing the high idle problem???

The 2.4L has an oil air seperator. These don't go bad. It's just a baffle on the side of the block. The actual crankcase vent is through a port in the cylinder head.
The car idling high could be a vacuum leak. How high is the idle?
Also, is the exhaust manifold leaking at the flex pipe?

hahaaha, I work at a VW dealer and we deal with a certain amount of oil consuption problems. VW says 1 quart every 1K miles. (something around there) So when it's time for its next oil change, it could be out of oil.
