Figured I'd put this in here, since it is 3rd gen related. I recently swapped a engine in a 99 sunfire with one from a 96 cavalier. Now, the knock sensors on these 2 blocks are different. Does anyone know what a solution to this would be? I checked the old block, and the place where the sensor goes is a part of the block, while on the 96 the sensor is removeable.
I'm thinking an adapter, but I am unsure of the thread pitch on the 96 block.
If anyone has some insight, please pass it on. Need to get this in there, so I can get the car running right.
