alright, tryin to gut out my A/C i discharged the system at a shop today, and took out the compressor. what all can i take out now, and where is it?
the condensor is in front of my radiator correct? can i remove it? is it easy? and im assuming all of the lines can go as well... anything i should leave in?
what do i have to do to remove the condenser? do i have to take the rad. out?
nope you shouldn't have to take out the radiator!
how about removing the front end? can i do it with the car on a lift rather than removing anything... lol my friend (jeffus) says he "thinks" you need to take off the front end,
I did this yesterday. Getting the condenser off would be easiest if you take off the part where the hood latches, that will give you clear access to it. Be carful because there is an Airbag sensor on it! After that, there are a few pips that come off with i think a 10 mm socket. Once thats off, look of whats holding it to the radiator, shouldn't be much, just a few clips. That should be it. I was taking the whole front end of my car, because im taking the motor/trans, harness, everything.
is there a label for the sensor? lol i dont want to hit something... and see my windshield and hear a poof!
Its the yellow one by the hood latch....you can't miss it

Yellow connectors/plugs/sensors is pretty much the standard. If its for the airbag it will have lots of yellow on it.
awesome. ill look into that when i have time. the motor should be in the mail monday. yay. maybe my car will be running by the 12th
lol
