Another 2.4....

No other engine (that I know of) will bolt to the 2.4 transmission. None of the 60 degree V6's will (3400, 3800, 3900). If you want a bigger engine in there its going to be a lot of custom work, if you want cheap and easy power, get a supercharger.

You can get the supercharger at the dealship if you can afford it. They tend to make you over pay, unless you have a good friend working there who can get you a good deal. If that doesnt work, the classifieds here usually has one turn up every now and then, and even ebay has one every now and then. Some other sites can get it for a good price. Its the M45 supercharger, that will help you find it if you try and find one.

The 2.8/3.1/3100/3400/3500/3900 are 60 degree Engines. The 3800 is a 90 degree. The 2.2/2.0 OHV engines share the same pattern on the bellhousing as these engines. Like Shifted mentioned, the 2.4 is the only thing that can bolt to that tranny.

Your best bet if you wanted to go to a V6, is to get a 2.2 transmission and swap that in along with the engine.
