95 cavalier 2.3 Z24 Theft light on, Won't Start
Tuesday, October 02, 2007 4:53 PM
I have a 2.3L Z-24 cavalier, the car was running, and then one day it just quit. The car has been sitting for bout a year and Im now trying to resurrect her. The engine turns over, but will not start. The Theft Light on the dash is solid. When I was driving the car in the past the theft light was on.. Can someone please give me some help on getting her back on the road.. Thanks!!!

This happened to my 2000 sunfire. Try and start your car, but when it doesn't start leave it alone for ten minutes. During that ten minutes make sure your key is left to the on position, and you don't touch anything( cd player, open the doors, foot on brake, etc). After I think 12 minutes, the theft light should start blinking. turn the key back to the off position, and try starting it again. your problem may be solved. It solved mine.
