Help, 96 2.2L Died and now won't start

Okay, everyone on here seems pretty knowledgeable on cavys, I have a post here and one on clubcav. My winter car (96 cavy 2.2L AUTO) w/ almost 206K miles is sitting dead in my driveway.

heres what happened...

back sometime this summer, I was having some problems where my car was very sluggish and stuttering/struggling to accelerate, flickering CEL indicated misfiring, so i put all new plugs and wires in (AC DELCO plugs and Duralast wires). I also ran some seafoam through it, and it pretty much fixed all that and it ran great again. Then the car started to shift at a higher rpm than normal, and it progressively got to a point where it would shift almost at redline, and then one day it wouldn't shift, and it just revved really high and just died on the road, but i was able to coast into a parking lot, It would not start, just click... click.. click... click.... click....., so I have it towed home, i tried jumping it, tapping the starter, I checked the voltage and w/ my voltmeter and its fine, full power on everything else, for some reason. I have tried to start it every now and again, and instead of clicking it sounds like it wants to start, no more clicking.

I have been driving my other car since it happened and now im getting worried because I don't want to drive it during the winter because it's my baby and would rather store it as the cleveland winters tend to be very harsh on cars. anyway, it can't just sit in my driveway my parents want it gone.

Anyone have any solutions, anything I could try? or if they think they know what's wrong? I did a auto->manual swap on my other car so im pretty knowledgeable and I have a full mechanics set of tools, Im just not too familiar with cavaliers/j-bodys. I've only had the cavy for less than a year.

any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated because im stumped
