before i put the flywheel back on the engine, i think it is a good time to change the rain main oil seal.
or are they reliable enough to just let the old one stay, this engine is at 113k so i figure i might as well just do it rather than go through all the work to get at it in the future.
input shaft to my 5 speed is leaking so i want to try to do it and the half shaft seals too. i want to fix any part i can while i am in this tear down mode. any part that may fail in the future.
so did i miss anything?
must have been real stupid
No such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people...Which you don't seem to be, so I guess I'll answer your question.

I guess you mean rear main seal. Replacing gaskets/seals on a motor that worn is definately a good idea. I can't offer you too much more help as I don't know a great deal about the weaknesses of the 2.2L OHV's. Sorry.
BTW... I love your display name... lol

My bad then...I thought it was a spin off of the title of a very popular Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.
