i was wondering if anyone new the SAE horsepower rating for a 1997 OHV 2.2 cavalier just wanted to get a basline. thanks

If your thinking of trying to grab HP out of that 2.2, I wouldn't bother.. from what I know the after market for them kind of blows, from what I've seen alot of guys have swapped in 2.4's, or 2.0 Ecotecs.

Someone dyno'd a 2000 2.2l four door and it pulled 98hp not sure tq.

phew, that whopping 5 HP made a HUGE difference
the 2.2 is built like a rock, its not worth while to mod it.

the 98 and up 2200 is the one with the 115 hp rating. aka the weakest motor they put in these cars. and of coursethats the one i have lol
