E-85

It strikes me as cheap high octane gas but can I safely burn it in my car?
I have a 98' Pontiac Sunfire 4dr. Sendan with a SFI 2.2ltr. motor.
On this motor I have had some new mods added and some parts replaced.
At $2.24 a gallon for 90 octane with 10% ethanol added compared to E-85 which cost about $1.64 here I could possibly save a bit on gas in my car.
What do you think should I burn some E-85 in my ride?
Maybe a 50/50 ratio mix? Do you think it will ruin my motor?
I'm stuck in a 634 pop. town with uh 100 miles to drive home with about half of a quater tonk of gas should I stay and fill up on E-85 or go with reg. gas?

Get regular gas, experiment with your car closer to home, tow trucks for that distance are expensive.

NO! GM cars are not designed to run on it unless its a flex fuel car. There are TSB's out that say if you have any warrenty at all once you put it in you don't.

it is comprised mostly of alchohal, and if you put it in your car, it will basically eat any rubber lines that are used in your fuel system and wreck anyting gesle that has to do with your fuel system. So in the end, you are basically really @!#$ up your car. so don;t do it.
