Ive been driving my 2001 Z24 for about 2 months already and I get around 21 MPG in the city. I think thats good for the 2.4, but i want to ask how's the fuel economy on the other engines 2.2 OHV, and 2.2 ECOTEC ?
right now 28-29 mostly city
I've been getting consistant 25mpg in the city this winter, and I sometimes hit 33-34 on the highway in the summer. It's gotten better since it was stock, no idea why though.
15.3 @ 89.97mph, 14's on the way?

2002 2200OHV 5-speed: In the winter I saw as low as 25mpg on my daily commute, but now i am seeing 30-35. On the trip from PA to NC this summer, I pretty much guarentee I will see over 40mpg. Last year to FL i saw as high as 45. And now more than ever, I LOVE IT!
Does it go faster?
my 96 2.4 5 speed get an average of 26-32 depending on my driving the worst i ever got was 26 mpg and the 32 was a one time thing
the view is all the same unless your the lead dog.
is it just me or does my 2.4 burn alot more gas?
This past weekend i was getting 33.5 miles per gallon all highway between 75-85 mph. I have a 01 2200 5 speed with intake/exhaust and a brand new tune up and fuel filter.
I usually get around 25-27 city or town driving
onyl tested once.. 33 mpg on highway average for trip...best was 34.7 on the return trip ..all highway...pushing wind.
^^ yes bigger displacement .2 and 35 more hp over the 2.2 and 2.2 eco which is 10 ho less.........also in how ya drive it.
maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow....... but some day
i dont think the hp# makes most of the differance
probably displacement
I have an 03 with an auto trans, with a 62mm throttle body, highflow cat, removed resonator, brospeed muffler and rksport intake im getting around 28.3 miles per gallon on the highway between 65mph and 70mph.
eco's need a way to lean out the fuel because when you mod them they go rich as a pig eating gas robing us of power lol
see ya!
23mpg city
35mpg highway 65mph windows down. when i went out to det the dis 2 off red flame.
We just took a 1000 mile road trip, and got about 29mpg with A/C on and doing between 75-85 the whole way.

my car gets crazy good gas millage if you stay around 65-70 on highway driving
i took a 307 mile trip to north carolina....and used a QUARTER tank of gas, drove around down there all week, filled up and it only took 9 gallons...
so i get about 47mpg on all highway in my 2.2 OHV 5spd
in town ehh it depends anywhere from 17-30 depending on how hard im in the gas pedal
