Lowering with Xenon body kit
Sunday, November 27, 2005 12:57 PM
I know I probably won't get an answer for this since there isn't too many people with the Xenon kit but I figured it was worth a shot..

Has anyone put a lowering kit on their Cavalier that has the Xenon kit? if so which one and how low could you get it safely??

I have the kit and want to lower my car but I only have like 5" clearance on the front right now and about 6" on the rear...

I think my car would look a lot better lowered but might not be safely possible...

Do you have pics of your car, that would help. You can go with coilovers and drop it as much as you want to. Or you can get air ride, that would be my suggestion.

Tien H-Tech (1.1") or Suspenion Techniques (1.2")

Thats gana be to much of a drop for him. Now that I see your pics id say get some rims to help, see how youd like the look of that. And you can get some coilovers then if you want it more low looking.

damn looks like your kinda screwed, in order to get rid of the wheel gap you'd be riding on the ground

You could go with the springs mentioned, and put slightly larger than normal tires on.. Maybe pick up some 17" rims and use 225/50R17s or something like that. Hard to say really. Those oversized tires would screw with other things too....

yeah that kit is really low.. rims would be the best shot to fix the problem.

Rims would help fill the extra space in there. Then maybe a mild drop or bags.

i HAVE A xenon body kit for my 2002 z24 and i have coilovers that i just orderd and i am planing on putting them on in a few days. i will post pics and more info...

If u get rims..Do not get the lowest pro. tires.. more of a gap( trust me i learned the hard way!!!!)

And to answer another thing ....u r going to scrape a little bit no matter how much u lower it ..so i say lower it till itt looks good.@!#$ IT IF IT SCRAPES. NO ONE SEES UNDEr ur car >>>(AS LONG AS U ARE NOT SCRAPEING YOUR EXHUAUST!)

My buddy Roger is dropped around 2" with the Xenon kit.....looks NICE! It does sit a little low, but he hasn't had an issue. As long as you angle inclines you should be fine. Sideskirts do sit low though where they come down on the ends!

I want it lowered but I am a daily driver in the summer and don't want to beat it all to hell...

I wish more people had it on here with pictures and such... I don't want to learn the hard way haha.

you don't enter many car shows do you? (not picking on you honest question) scratches underneither the car are seen, if the underside of the gas tank isn't clean its seen, if anything is messed up its seen

Best bet would be to get adjustable coilovers so yer not stuck at any one preset drop. My friend californiadomestics, on here, has the kit and RKS prostreet coilovers. He might have pics in his registry.
