I have looked but haven't found out much on this topic. I use a line-lock on my RWD towncar but are they used/effective on FWD cars for launches/burn outs?

I don't see how it could work real well because I can drag my rear tires with the e brake set.

It's called an e-brake.
You need a line-lock on a RWD car because there's no method of braking just the front wheels. No point on a FWD car.
As mentioned though, you'll just end up dragging the back wheels along so be careful not to flat-spot them.
Yeah. You'll just drag the tires. Doesn't work cause the drive tires have way more weight over them than the "stopping" tires.
^^ Yeah but the noral brake works just fine for that. Why would you add complexity when what you have works??
Yeah i added rear line locks to my rear disk conversion thinking maybe the hydralics woudl hold better than just pulling up the ebrake handle and well it the front tires are wet first you can get a nice burnout going but in the dry even with a hirh RPM clutch dump it just ends up dragging the rear tires, which is bad.
Heres a few pics of my setup
Like i said if you go thru the waterbox at the track they do there job, but not as effective on the street.
