Make sure your spring is compressed enough for one, for whatever reason when we were doing my friends ground controls, on the back that F&CKER wouldn't come off. Even though the spring clearly looked like it was compressed enough, it wouldn't come off until we did a little bit more. After that pry like a mofo and it should pop off

i banged on that thing for like 5 mintutes.. NOTHING moved not even a little.. its not threaded is it?

the spring was loose.. it was wobbling around and @!#$ so it was compressed enough.

not being an ass, but theres no bolt to take off in 9 or 10... a NUT holds the mount to the shaft...

its not threaded if worse comes to wose, turn it upside down and smack with a rubber hammer.

its prob something small you are overlooking...

ive never compressed the stock rear springs , there isnt alot of tension on the when not installed in the car

undo the spring compressor and see if that pops the mount off

if you live in a heavy road salt area , and they are rusted together

you might be better off getting new mounts , and struts if your not replacing them already

I never compressed neither the front nor rear when uninstalling, neither are under much tension. The front maybe shoots out 2" or so, lay it on the ground, and let the impact do the work!

hey man, i know exactly what ur talkin about, it happened to my driverside rear when i did my spring install. what i did was spray the top with some penetrating lube. then if you look at the top of the strut shaft, it has 2 flat sides....put a wrench on there, and grab the strut mount, twist in opposite directions, and itl come off eventually. hope that helps

PB BLASTER my friend, spray a good amount wherever metal meets metal. give it a few minutes to soak in, if it is real bad let it sit over night.

If they are EXTREMELY rusty Buy new struts.

Sounds like the problem to me. I've never had much trouble with mounts coming off. Nothing a small hammer (or whatver tool I'm holding at the time) can't handle.
