the right spring seat for the strut mount ?

ok ppl... I bought monroe frond strut mouns part # 901946 and spring seat #89047655 (old 22182103) ..

here is the pic:



as you can see, at the right is the strut mount, at the top are the bearing and the spacer and at the left is the spring seat...

when I put them up in line, there is a gap and I dont know if this gap will get compressed when is installed in the car, so the spring seat can touch the bearing..












In the black part of the bearing (the rubber) there is a small line that adapts exacly to the spring seat.


If that spring seat is not the right one, then which one it is ?

looks like you have 2000+ spring seats trying to fit em on a 95-99 mount...

the 95-99 spring seats wont have a metal piece in the middle. just aLL plastic

also, I think I can take that part out.... But better getting 96-99 spring seats

cehck on autozone.com or advance-auto-part.com or call gm....

just tell em spring seats for a 97 cavalier to be safe...
