I am mostly new to car stuff and i was looking into coilovers but i do not know much about this kind and stuff and was wondering how do they go on i think they slide over the shocks and struts and replace the springs but like i said i do not know much and this kind of stuff so any help would be good
A Coil-over Kit is just a spring replacement. I warn you that they have high spring rates (meaning they move
very easy at first, then get harder to move after <1" of movement. This is highly beneficial for aggressive driving/handling).
A Full Coil-over Setup comes with both the spring replacements, and replacement struts. Take note if it is for 2 wheels, or all 4; kits vary.
READ READ READ the information on this site BEFORE you buy anything.
We hate to see people waste money on the crap out there, and there's plenty of it. Don't go cheap. This stuff isn't all that expensive, and going cheap is a horrible idea.
And please do not purchase ebay coilovers, they have got to be the worse thing ever. A lot of us learned from experience (me for example) and you just realize its a waste of money and the biggest thing, a waste of time.

DRIVE HARD OR DONT DRIVE AT ALL!!!
We've covered all the good and popular bad ones in the FAQ. So if it's not in the FAQ, it's crap.
Any springs (set of 4) less than $100 are crap. Period. Never seen anything that cheap yet, that isn't crap.
Any struts (set of 4) less than $200 are crap. Period. OEM replacement cost this much, "perforamce" will never be less.
Read the FAQ. Ask questions (as you already are). Do it right. You'll be one more happy J-Body owner.
