I ve got a 93 cavalier and just as of lately when ever i break at a low speed it fells like only the rear brakes are pulling, if i try to stop too fast the brakes lock up and the abs kicks in this only happens at low speeds at higher speeds they fell like normal even if i slam on the breakes hard. I know i need new rear shoes but i think they are only wearing down so fast because of the way the cars breaking. I dont see how that could be the cause of the problum alone.
You might have alot of brake dust stuck in the drum. I would pull of the drum and clean it out with some brake cleaner and put it back on and see if that makes it better.
I guess i'll have to see what happens I already bought some new shoes now i just have to find time to check it out and change the shoes.
speaking of pulling the drum off, how the #$%^ do you do it? I've tried on both sides of my car and neither of them is budgeing a bit. Looks like it's stuck in the center.....it flexes all the way around the edge, but the middle seems stuck....

You cannot own a Jbody and not need a BFH atleast once when modifying it one way or another...
hehe, heck, you can't own and be seriously modifying any car without a BFH. On another car i have, the drum bakes on back had worn a lip into the drum, and the shoes had to be backed off w/ a little wheel. Hope that didn't happen here, but i doubt it, only got 89k miles, adn it always had regular maintience as far as i know. So i'll dump some WD on it and see what happens, i'm sure WD40 and a BAFH working together can get that sucker off
