Hi all
Newly here. I am the recent, proud/ashamed owner of a 91 Pontiac Sunbird LE with a 3.1l - rust/peeling on blue. It was more-or-less given to me so I'm not going to complain (except the seats - damn they're awful. Replacing them now). Been spending a lot of time & money getting this thing roadworthy and inspected. It did pass the inspection but......My immediate concern now is the brakes. I have replaced all the pads/shoes and the rotors/drums are either new or resurfaced. The brakes have been bled. I see it has a proportioning valve (I think). It will stop pretty well under slow or moderate conditions. But when I hammer on the brakes, they won't lock up. It seems it stops better if I feather the pedal. Is this normal? Should I hook up the horn to my brake light switch to warn the poor souls on front of me? Do tell. Thanks
