Brass fittings for air ride?

The title says it all. In the past I had stainless steel fittings and it cost $$. I am thinking of using brass fittings for my setup because it can be a little bit cheaper, and I will not use plastic by any means. So how bad are brass fittings to leakage? and pressure (around 180 to 200 psi) I will have 1/2" everything. I know weather can play a big role on the preformance part of this. Thank you.

brass two plus years n if u use the teflon tape and wrench down properly(tight) should be fine. i also used the compression ones that have a sleve and a ring for securing the tube in place. i love them and if one happens to break just gotta find a homedepo or lowes lol.

Why won;t you use plastic push to connects? I've been using them on my cavi for 3 years now with no problems, and I used them on my s10 with no problems

The only reason that I didn't want to use plastic fittings, is because I had some problems with the quick connect style (blowing lines/not staying connected). They could not hold high pressure whenever it got to be over 80 psi or so. When I had ordered my plastic fittings from the shop and then only to find out that they had a "manufacturers problem". Thats why I went to stainless steel. I heard that with brass fittings they can shrink and swell with the weather (cold and warm), This is why I thought brass might cause some leaks this way. I live in Alberta Canada, so our weather is not always the best lol.

At work, we use brass fittings on our locomotives... so I'd say they're good to go
