So im looking to redo my air ride set up and i would like to get the tank out of the inside of the car. i was thinking about mounting the tank under the car like the mini truckers do. Has anyone every thought of doing it like this? i searched and found a post of someone suggesting cutting the spare tire well out and welding a piece of metal flat and mounting it under there. Would rather not go this route. Any suggestions or tips on what you out there have done with your tank setups.
stock eco with 110 shot <<<<<<<<<WTF???
Put a pancake tank in the spare tire well. With alittle trimming it should be able to mount flush with the floor of the trunk. Thats my $.02.

there is not a whole lot of room under our cars to mount a tank even if you went with 2 smaller tanks. if u wanna mount it under the car the best bet would have to cut out the spare tire well and put some sheet metal its place. Or like tinkle said put a pancake tank in the spare tire well all u would have to do its cut the spare tire tab off and ur good to go.
Keep in mind those tanks are dirt cheap on eBay!
I got tired of having the standard setup so I mixed it up a little...
If your looking for another tank, I have my old one sitting around. I opted to get the chrome tank instead of keeping this one, if you need one for cheap I can help you out.

be careful with the chrome tanks. they arent dot approved, and have been know to explode

so you just categorized ALL chrome air tanks and said that they are prone to exploding? I highly doubt it.
Let it blow... if it blows in the 3-6 hours I may drive it a year then it isn't meant to be.

Hmm, that's interesting. I have been running mine for 2 years holding 400psi in them at all times. I know that's a bit much but i like to play. Also it's the exact tank as any other, they just dip it in chrome to achieve the finish. Not sure how dipping it in chrome would make it prone to rupture.
