This is the kind of thing that might demonstrate the interest among J body users. If we could see how many people would commit to something like this, and with the help of Viper we could maybe finally get something together regarding a rear Wilwood setup. I know i would do anything to have matching rear Wilwoods, let's see who else feels the same. Anyways, here goes nothing. Let's see if we can get a solid 25 people to commit.

Let me know if you are interested
I just realized that maybe i was not very clear. This is to find 25 people that are dedicated to finding an answer to this on going rear disc issue with Wilwood. When we find a solution, we would do a group purchase with the 25 people that were interested and helped out with the R&D.
Viper has everything figured out other than the caliper placement so that the stock e-brake cable will work. All we need now is serious interest and viper says he can make it happen.
hell will freeze over before all 25 spots on that list are populated.
sorry, just a fact of life......of j-body life.
Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...

We should see what you come up with!! I know it will be top notch!!

Mmmm hmmm.... I already have the Neon setup and it works fine for my use. I'd just rather have something a little better I think. I don't like the idea of washers as spacers in there. But yea, even those setups after you bought everything weren't the cheapest thing. For another 150 on top of what I spent for everything i could have had a SSBC kit.
like stated, j-body world, will never happen. regardless of how cheap it will be price wise, they will always want int cheaper.
^Your right....there's no really cheap way out.....but to the OP, you need to be VERY specific about what your looking for here. On J-body you can get a crap load of an audience to cheer you on but then when you turn around and ask for cash.........you will be left holding the bag listening to crickets. The only reason I had success with the rear disc GP's was because the swap by nature could be funded slowly and the parts were cheap when bought each part one at a time. You may have similar success if and only if you sell just the brackets and give part numbers for the rest. Otherwise forget it.

That is actually more what I meant. I'm sorry I was not clear before I think I was just too excited at the whole idea. What I'm looking for is 25 people interested in getting a working rear caliper bracket that would work with currently designed wilwood rotors and calipers and the stock e-brake cable. Those part numbers would be provided with the cost of the bracket. This would provide you with the possibility of having a rear disc wilwood setup(you would need to order the other parts from wilwood). This type of thing needs the interest of many people in order to be successful. Obviously not everyone would be involved in R&D but we need people to help out however possible. Viper already has very good designs on the bracket. All that is left is to ensure a good fit and to determine the appropriate caliper positioning to ensure that our stock e-brake cable would work. Viper has said numerous times in forums that all it takes is serious interest to get this going. I hope there is more than just a few that want this wilwood setup as bad as I do.

Yes, I already had that all figured out. And yes I was only going to provide brackets and part numbers.
OEM, you are more than welcome to come up with a kit. After all, I haven't patented or wasted my own personal money or anything on this.

by no means do I wanna make the kit if someone else is.If you need parts made or a kit made let me know and I can put something together. I know that the calipers are around $250 with the parking brake integrated. So it would not be a inexpensive kit.

You don't need to make the kit to put yourself on the list. It is a list of 25 people that support the development of the rear caliper bracket as i mentioned earlier. The 25 people will just contribute to this however they can, and it sounds like you have experience with this kind of thing. We could use your support/input.
25 people that are going to pay more than $100 for rear disc brakes?
Hahahahahaha.
Not in the J-body universe.

It's a really sad truth about this community my friend. If the # was closer to 5 people you'd PROBABLY have a shot... but not 25.
Maybe 4 years ago... but now it's just people that can't afford what it takes for well-made custom parts.
Your best bet is to try and round up 3-4 people and see if you can get them cut for you, The only thing holding you back is the plate.

I know, I am just aiming high. I know 25 people is probably out of reach but the more the better. I'm using this to see how many people are seriously interested.
If you get 5 ppl that aren't just list-dwellers and actually have the $$ to pony up and get it done, I'll be in shock.
Good luck to you - I'd love to see some wilwood rears on some J's.
My SSBC's match up just fine for me personally...

Thanks for the luck. I have wanted rear wilwood's forever so I thought I would give it my best.
Let's talk on the other post and not have 2 (or 3) going on at the same time.

I'm assuming you mean the feeler.I agree.Viper, can you post those pics of the bracket on the feeler forum?
