Ok i'm finally changing out my suspension. I have a set of eibach springs that are on stock struts. I didn't do it so don't flame. They were on a 96 z24 that i got for free because of the motor being blown. I'm pretty sure it is the pro kit but not positve all i know is there black. Any way i stuck them on my one fire to see how low it set and i liked it but would rather have it lower. Even though it seemed to set level. Right now though it is stock suspension with 134,000 so i need all 4 sturt mounts,struts/shocks and possibly springs.
So here is what i'm looking at: Where to get good replacement strut mounts? Should i use the pro kit springs and buy struts? Or go with coil overs and sell the springs? It will have a vision body kit when ever i get off my rear to mock it up and finish the body work and get it painted. So it would be nice to get it to set how i want with 225/45/17's. I would like to keep the price around $600 to $700 if at all possible. Cheaper would be nice too..
Tell me what you think i should do thanks..
well there's a GP going for solid rear strut mounts and potential for solid front mounts. that's a big plus to get in on while it lasts. as far as stuts, if you want to do it right with the eibach pro kit (black eibachs), you'll need kyb AGX (cheapest), tokico dspecs, or koni yellows. Each one is adjustable and warrentied for the pro-kits advertised drop.
You won't get new coilovers for 600-700, so the only way that will happen is pre-owned, and you can't spell pre-owned without OWNED, meaning you better be damn sure of what you are getting before you fork over the cash. If you buy new, there are tein basics (cheapest), tein SS with pillow ball mounts (no need to buy rubber mounts), gravana/B&G, and a couple others that are up there in price.
if you arent happy with the drop, you need to get something that will give you the proper drop, and designed for that drop.
