I have an 05 cavalier lowered on rksport coilovers with a 1.5in. drop. When i turn the wheel left or right i hear a grinding noise coming from the middle front of the vehicle. When i back up out of a slanted driveway in neutral my car feels like after a full rotation of the tires the car feels like it is being slowed down by a rubbing. At least it feels like something is rubbing. I was wondering if it was the powersteering rack or something else. Anything to help me out would be appreciated. ASAP
thats not enough info to really help.....not to mention its almost impossible to diagnose a noise online....
what shocks are you on?

BTW: This is my Sig.
Im sitting on some new yellow konis so the problem isnt in the shocks/struts i dont think. I believe the noise is coming from the center of the front of the car. What i am looking for is almost like a list of what the problem might be and yes i know that im not giving you guys alot to work with but thats all i can do.
This noise only happens when i turn the wheel at a stop or below 5- 10 mph
could it be the tie rod I had coilovers on my car and my car made a weird nose when going slow or turning. turned out I hit a pothole to hard and it broke my tie rod rack and pinion. cost a pretty penny to fix too.
Either A. you need power steering fluid
B. your power steering pump, or rack is going out
C. don't turn the steering wheel so far. - all cars will scream, whine, and grind if you try to turn the steering wheel farther than it wants to go.
I havnt driven the car in a week and tonight when i drove the problem went away. This is not the first time this has happened. When it is driven alot the problem starts up again. Maybe this will help diagnos this problem.
finally figured out the problem. The upper mounts that go on top of the spring which came with the coilovers are rubbing the stock upper mount . So the problem was the metal to metal grinding. when i lifted the car and went to grease the bearings i got handful of tiny metal shavings. So now i need to know how to possibly fix this problem i think i will just grind them down alittle bit.
