Recommended street car suspension setup...?

I'm sure that this has been talked about in abundance over the years. I have been reading quite a bit into the archives, but I finally gave up trying to find the information that I am looking for. My 98 LD9 sunfire is currently fairly stock. It has blown shocks/struts and the stock front sway bar.

I am looking for a good compromise between increased handling with close to stock comfort settings. My wife drives this car 75 miles one-way daily as a commuter. I don't want to have the full blown race suspension (like my 92 eclipse gsx) that literally beat the crap out of the driver on long drives.

The only suspension modifications that have been completed are the car are as follows:

-SMG Race welded lower control arms with prothane bushings and new ball joints
-Prothane upper motor mount insert
-Prothane dog bone insert
-Prothane front and rear tranny inserts

My question of the day is simple. I have noticed that there is a varied difference of opinion in the rear sway bar. Some like the full 26mm sway bar to make the car the most neutral from understeer to oversteer. However, some drivers say that the 26mm bar makes the car too twitchy and prefer to install a 22mm bar instead. What would you recommend for a daily driver??

Also, I am looking for a good shock/strut plus lowering spring combo, in order to level the car out. I am on a fair budget, but do not want to pay over $500 for them. Any recommendations for brand/setup?

Some mods that I am currently considering:

-Vibrant Front Strut Bar
-Vibrant Rear Strut Bar
-Eibach Front 26mm Sway Bar
-Eibach Rear 22mm Sway Bar
-Custom Rear Tie Bar
-Eibach Prokit Lowering Springs
-New shocks/struts (haven't decided what brand)

What do you think? Any and all opinions for this matter are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had a full set of AGX shocks installed in my 1g DSM and the ride was very harsh. I am trying to keep this a daily beater. Do you still recommend this spring/shock combo??

AGX are adjustable. Should be as hard or as soft as you want, dependant on the springs of course. I definitely recommend that combo for someone wanting a little more performance with nearly stock ride comfort.

by far the most comfortable setup I've ever driven (I've drven many setups and owned even more) is the Koni Sport Kit
