Okay so I have a 97 cavalier with the 2.4 and a manual transmission. Yesterday I bought new struts and after getting them installed both of my wheels were toed out. Now I didn't mess with my tie rods at all just moved them out of my way. Before I go get it alligned I just wanted to check and see if anyone has a clue why the wheels toed out. I would think that they would still at least be close to where they were in the wheel well. Thanks.
because you removed the strut thats why. anytime you remove a major suspension part like struts, you need to get it aligned for else its going to wear your tires out
For sure. Changing the camber will change toe.
Okay thanks a bunch for the responses I just wanted to make sure I didn't goof up somewhere. It was a pretty easy and straight forward install but sometimes I can miss a simple detail. Guess I'll have to leave her parked till 2008. Thanks again.
