After changing out almost every component in my suspension I went to change over to winter tires and i took off my driver's side wheel off and i have about 1/4" of rubber rubbed off, which is alot of rubber to have taken off in probably 1 week of having the suspension put on.
I put my hand around my tire when the snow tires are on, and i could feel the lower dish on the spring housing and it is within a half inch of the tire, but nothing else is rubbing.
I got AGX's and Eibach pro kit springs.
Any idea what i can do to move it, or it is pretty much stationary?

You guys are rubbing on your spring perches when the wheel is turned?
mine does the same on my DD. doesn't matter if i have my 18's on or the factory steelies with snow tires. the insides of the two front tires are smooth where it's rubbing. i have the same struts too, but h&r springs.

I just don't see how that is possible unless your hub is broke in half and fully out of the knuckle. That distance never shortens. The only thing that shortens in a suspension is above the spring perch. I would check your hub. Does it make noise when turning? If you can wiggle your wheel from the top and bottom then you got a broken hub and that would be your problem. You need to put the car up in the air for this.
OMG I just rememberd that a long time ago people used to complain about the KYB struts rubbing the tires. They were not the AGX's though. They were the other KYB struts.
Quick search.
I didn't read them all but some other people are having the same problem. Maybe you can find something in there. Something has to be wrong for your tire to rub on the perch. Maybe something broken or loose or wrong size offset. Something.
That distance should not change. I just don't understand how it would change. Maybe you guys are rubbing on something else. Does the strut look like it has been rubbed on?
that wouldnt make sense since the lower the offset the farther out the rim sticks. also if the perch is only a half inch from the tire thats fine. they will never touch. there has been the same problem with the tein ss being really close to the tire. is the rub marks on the side wall?
This seems weird. My DD is on AGX's and Sportlines with no rubbing at all with Stock Z wheels w/ Snow and Ice tires. Also my 17x8 FNO1RC's didn't rub either with that setup. I rolled my fenders some cause the edge was touching, but they are perfect now.
Never had any rubbing on my agx's and pro kit. Even sharp turns or anything. I have put on close to 20,000 miles on the setup.

Well, first off. It's only my driver's side wheel. And it rubs all the time im assuming since the groove was so deep that i could see the stitching my tire (thank god it didn't blow out, the way i take turns in my new setup!) But i just did a wheel bearing check maybe 2 days ago and nothing on my tire moved at all. (the grab with two hands on either side of the side, and pushing each hand in different directions, thing.) And yes, it is the spring perches. I know i need new strut mount, and i JUST got an alingnment, but this problem is driving me nuts, I don't want to spend 650 on new tires and have them be grooved as well! I seriously am thinking of getting the d specs just because i don't want it to rub. Or will it just be the same?
Thanks guys!

weight should have nothing to do with the wheel rubbing the spring perch as previously mentioned, even with the suspension compressed, the distance between the two should stay the same.
Turning shouldn't have any effect on the distance between the perch and the tire either as it would rotate as an assembly.
the only thing i can think of is if you either have loose bolts that mount the strut to the knuckle that would allow the geometry to change or if it's rubbing constantly if you have some crazy amount of camber dialed in.

Im bringing it down the next time i can to the place that did my suspension build.
I payed an assload of money to get that @!#$ put on, when i could have done it myself, it's just my suspension was pulling HARD to the right, cracking at no matter what speed, my dad hurt his back, and it was now cold out. I needed to have it put on for me.
If they @!#$ up im going to be so pissed. $950 for them forgetting to tighten down bolts. @!#$ them.

if there's nothing else wrong with the suspension and the struts are the problem, there is some extra meat around the spring perch you could grind off for tire clearance without affecting the structure of it.
i have the D-Specs with 42mm offset wheels(18x7) with -1.6* of camber dialed in with camber bolts(adj. bolt in lower hole). Still got 3/8in clearance.
