Is it a CV joint?
Tuesday, October 23, 2007 8:17 AM
I just discovered this problem yesterday---1st time I really drove the car since replacing the control arm bushings.

As I'm moving, if I turn the wheel slightly to the right, I get a clicking out of the driver side (like what the CV joint going bad would sound like). But, here is where I'm confused. It seems to only click when turning to a certain degree. If I turn the wheel slightly, it clicks---if i turn it further, it does not click.

I did just change my control arm bushings last week---yes everything is tight. Is there any chance I may have damaged the cv joint by maybe overextending it or something?

The sound is definitely coming from the driver side.

Any guesses before I end up spending money? Is there any way I can check it to make sure it either is or isn't the cv joint?
