i was looking at the skunk2 coilover set up. i read through the directions and they use the stock struts. i wanted to know if anyone had these with stockers or aftermarket struts. cuz if i got these id get shocks to. i dug up a few post about these not having things like the bearings. and for $300.... it raises an eyebrow. any info mucho apriciated.

i would never recommend using stock struts on coilovers especially if you wanna get low, you will blow those struts new or not in about 0.50 seconds and you ride will be crap. i know from experience, when i got my first j i didnt know crap about suspension i just wanted to get low and i regretted it everytime i hit a small bump or pot hole lol. Like strippedcav98 said above id go with atleast reds or something similar

yeah i was think of yellows, since you can adjust there rate while there on the car right?

StrippedCav98 did they come with all the part i need? im not concerned about them being the best coilovers i mean for $100 bucks more than tein dropsprings i get the adjustability so i cant really complain.
i might just get some mild drop ebay springs for a little while i save up for new struts. my car looks like a dog taking a dump up in the air but i dont want show before go.

dont flame the ebay spring "idea". i know its a bad one and im still thinking about it. look at it this way:
STEP 1: i get ebay springs and blow my stock struts.
STEP 2: i get Skunk2 coilovers on Koni yellows.
STEP 3: the "not best coilovers" now feel like a luxury.
im outside the box now!

I have the Skunk2's on right now on stock struts and it sucks. ive had them on for over 2-3 years now and one of them just blew and the ride is horrible. Im upgrading to G.C. with Koni Yellows now. But If u want some ones advise who has had them, i wouldn't get them even if u got them dirt cheap. I would give u mine but my cousin wants mine even Knowing how bad the ride is.

i wouldnt even recommend them on yellows. i had them on stock struts and the car was worthless suspension wise, i might as well have welded the struts solid because thats how the ride felt.

on a side not ive got a set of them, $30 plus shipping if you wanna make a trophy out of them or something
