What's the stock ride height for an 02' cavalier? My car was supposedly "factory lowered", but I have a feeling something is up with that, so I'm in the market for a new suspension. I like the height it's at now, so I need to know what kind of drop springs I'm going to have to buy to do it right, but keep the same ride height. Thanks.
Every Cavalier has basically the same stock ride height, give or take a small allowance for variables sagging with age or visual accents like body skirts.
That said, the ratings for various lowering springs seem to be open to a bit of interpretation by the manufacturers, and some of the cheaper products will sag over time. Your best bet would be to look around for pictures of our cars on different springs, and find something pretty close to what you have. I'm sure you've already heard that there are about 3 good brands of struts for lowering our cars, and you should be budgeting for a set of those as well.
