what struts should i match with my eibach sportlines

i have monroe struts with eibach sportline kit. the dealer near me told me this was a good setup. sure enough it rides like crap. i was lookin into it and the monroes are a stock replacement strut. should i go with koni yellows or eibachs in this situation. i want them to be daily driven.

would the d-specs handle that drop? i was told they wont. but if they do then nice cause there a little cheaper than the eibachs

the eibach what? dspecs are plenty good enough to handle the drop

Yes, they will. Several members here are running that combination, including myself.

The sportlines are always going to give a fairly stiff ride no matter what strut it's used with, however the D-Specs give you a good amount of adjustability within that range. At their softest setting, the ride approaches stock-like comfort but is a bit too "wavy" for my taste. When dialed in a bit stiffer, the car handles like it's on rails. You'll feel the bumps, for sure, but you definitely won't be bouncing. Odds are you'll be able to find a "good ride" somewhere in that range.

sorry for the ressurection but i was just searching about struts for the sportlines and im curious to what the adjustment is like? is it something that can be done while the car is on teh ground? or do i need to jack it up/lift it

On the Tokicos/Konis/KYB's and most other brands, there is an adjuster on top of the strut that you turn to soften/stiffen the strut's rebound/compression...as long as you can pop your hood and trunk you'll have access to them. Some high level struts have the adjuster at the bottom of the strut, but you can still usually turn the wheel or reach under the car/through the wheel spokes and adjust them.
