crossdrilled/sloted rotors,

hey...new to the braking aspect of things, ive purchased some greenstuff brake pads,(not sure if thell help my stopping power, however im not quite ready to upgrade to rear discs
...not because i dont want to ...but lets not get into that....

so back to the beginning, i would like more stoppping power as well as some nice looking rotors....

ive heard that these pads will be an upgrade from any sort of pad that isnt ceramic or better (greenstuff,or so ive been told)
however i would like to pick up some slotted and cross-drilled rotors for mainly the look of things, call me a ricer if you must...anyways.....

obviously good brands being baer and brembo,...but what about not as well known brands...
so i guess what im asking are what are some good rotors, (crossdrilled and slotted)
that are not gonna run me over 100$ a rotor

i have baer decelarotors on my cavalier right now. cross drilled and slotted. they're pretty good. i'll probably be putting those on my other J and getting some Powerslot rotors (just slotted, not drilled) for the cavalier this year.

Man this rotors are one area where you for sure get what you pay for. I bought a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors off ebay. I hated them. Braking was actually worse. They warped within the first month. I had way more heat fade then I ever had with stock rotors. All this despite the fact that I spent more than the cost of the rotors on a set of kevlar pads. I was thrilled to go back to stock rotors. I will go with the Baer rotor in the future. I have heard nothing but good things about them.

As for the green stuff pads. I myself have not used them but I have a friend with a set on his 13 second probe and he loves them. He tells me all the time how great they are.

I would go with Powerslot rotors, and i see you already got pads but i would go with the Hawk HPS pads.

Powerslot rotors are the best. You can get them cyro treated too. Best investment I've made, they have been on the car for years and no brake troubles, no brake fade, nothing but good stopping power. Whatever you choose, stay away from cross-drilled, they are only for looks... they will reduce braking power and can crack.

They are not only for looks.....but they are only for looks on the street. They reduce braking power unless you get larger diameter ones to compensate for the loss of surface area caused by the drilling. Because they have less surface area, they get hotter (and then cool faster) causing them to not only crack, but shatter.
