Ok here goes....I have installed Full set of Cosmo Racing Stage 2 duel coil overs, and front an read KYB AGX Ajust shocks an struts...iv got them ajusted pritty good but there is still a bounce to them...i was woundering if anyone has the same setup as mine and if they can get the balance of the car pritty much perferct...iv only got the car droped about 1 inch right now but i wish to slam it another 2 or so inchs.
What you think? can i balance it perfect...and do you think ill need a camber kit?
Thanks
The AGX dampers arn't made to damp the high spring rates of coilovers. That setup will not work. You need some softer springs, like the Eibach Pro-Kit.
I bought mine for $100 back in the day. Ebay or the classifieds might yield a similar price.
i bet your using kyb gr2s right?
ah my fault for not reading. like everyone said the agx cant handle the insanely high spring rate that those generic coilovers give. if you really want to get that low your going to need a new suspension. new springs that will give you a 2" drop or get new coilovers (ones that are designed for our cars) plus you'll need new struts since the agx only handle up to a 1.5" drop and anything past that will void their warrenty.
if you want to keep the struts (if their not blown) then you can get the eibach prokit (1.4") which matches up w/ the agxs nicely
also camber kits are not needed for our cars

I take it thats the kit were talking about...is a 1.4 inch drop going to take alot of wheel gap out with a set of 17s...or will i be able to 18s on there?
yes thats the kit and you can do 20s if you want. doesnt matter how low you go, it matter on the tire size your running. if you keep the same overall size tire then you can lower it 1.4" fine on 17s or 18s
friggin frigg...i dont even have 4000kms on this set of coilovers...but for the best feel im gonig to change them right away and sell the coilovers...so the car will handle good with the agx shocks an the 1.4inch drop...no more bounce ?
nope it will handle great because those springs are designed for our car unlike the generic coils that you have now and the agxs will be able to handle it
if you need help just ask or search.

Keep in mind that you may well have killed those KYB's. The ride height doesn't matter if you're running that high a spring rate. What happens is that the springs rebound with so much force that they cause the struts to expand faster than they were designed to and cause internal damage.
Hopefully they're ok. You should be able to tell whether they're shot or not when you take them off.
if there shot ill just have to take that as a lession....muh bad...ill just buy new ones...do it right or do it twice....so its ok....ill make sure everything els i do is done right.
Now im looking for a fiberglass person to do a custom dash...put my indash dvd player in a nice setup an a few monitor an a ps 3 i hope.
I just got the new sprigs you guys were telling me about the Eiback 1.4inch drop. I Mayhave to get new front shocks, because we had to cut the plate off them to make the other coilovers fit...but lesson learned. Thanks for the help guys. Now the car is not going to be so hard on the road.
That plate is called the perch, and yes the Eibach springs will need it.
no, their gas filled struts.
The strut would probably explode, you might survive though.
Huh? What if they're filled with Nitrogen?
either way it will explode smart ass lol
