can anybody give me instructions on changing brake shoes? much appreciated. they squeal like crazy everytime i brake and don't always grab. i know one of them is horribly out of shape. thanks
The shoes are complicated as hell really, if you are a first timer. Take it to a shop and have them do it, or have someone who knows what they are doing show you how. Trust me.
But, if you really want to do it yourself, just do them one side at at time. So that way, if you are un-sure of how it goes together, you can look at the other side and find out.

Buy a Haynes or Chilton manual, it has pictures and detailed instructions that will be better than what we can offer. And tons of other instructions for other things.
i dont know what everyone thinks is so hard
do one side at a time and lay parts down in the order you take them off.....unhooking the spring jsut takes a strong hand and visegrips/pliers

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

Or it takes the right tool.. which you can buy at an auto parts store.

You need several special tools, including a normal spring remover, and a hold down spring remover.

im stuck on removing the rear brakes and was wondering if you could help. Im sure its something simple and im overlooking it but theres a pin that connects the rear brake shoe to the parking brake lever(i believe its called) any help on how to get it off would be greatly appreciated since the car is on stands at the moment
