well ive been riding on these pro streets pretty much the whole season, and well they ride like crap
the story is, i got them extremely cheap, due to the fact that they are seized in the complete lowest postion, didnt really mind cuz i would of slammed them anyways..
ANYWAYS, last time i did my oil change i watched how they fell, now the part of the coil thats threaded, comes into contact with the top mount, almost like its preventing it from dropping completly,
now when i think about it, my car rides like i have no suspension at all, like crash bang i hit a bump and its like i have a welded one piece car with no bounce, what im thinking is that since the threaded part and the mount come into contact, everytime i hit a bumper the spring isnt even compressing or even getting any absortion for that matter, anyone elaborate on this one
REALLY appreciated
Do you have any pics joey? Sound liek a strut mount issues or improper install, I'm only famiar with the install of the full tein coilovers tho.
sorry no pics, i couldnt get a pic when lowered anyways, my tire is above my fender
lol
cant see any problem with the install its a complte coilover system, like everything is already assembled, its jus bolt up like oem, if the car wasnt bottomed out on the threads then the spring would be compressed more before the threads and the mount came in contact, holding them apart
so how it seems is not my car is basically riding on the mount and jus bouncing on the threaded adjuster
cant believe rksport charged 1400 for these pieces of junk, id switch to ground controls and yellows, but i dont have a grand for a susspension
I have them. fronts bottomed out, and rears up 2.25 and they are rough. thats just the way they are. mine dont clunk at all or anything but they are stiff.

Ummm something sounds wrong there, to me. Does anyone have pic to show him what they should look like on his car?
nobody gonna be able to take a pic, cuz if they are lowered like mine are then the tire is above the fender, next to impossible to get a camera in there, it doesnt clunk, it jus rides like i have no suspension lol
its hard to explain, but ill try again, the top mount of the strut begins to drop with the frame of the car, it begins compressing the spring, but it the strut absorber like the polished rod in the middle of the strut that goes up and down, well it lowers till the mount comes in contact with the threaded adjuster in the middle, basically if the car was higher then the spring would reach its max compression earlier, therefore the car would stop dropping and they would not come into contact
im jus thinking its related to rksports @!#$ design
i have a 2 finger gap in the front with them all the way down. and with the rears 2.25 up i have a 2 finger gap, if i jacked the car up i could get pics. but i really dont want to jack it up. takes too long with the kit and all.
if i jack it up i could get pics, but the problem doesnt until its lowered, must be ur rims for ur gap, this is my gap...
its actually a bit lower then this on certain surfaces
Tires and rims are the exact replacement size as stock. They are the same size as the stockers would be.
