ok well im in the process of tracking down parts for my rear air ride setup on my 97 coupe. here's my cart i want to know if im missing anything.
CLICK ME . i can get fittings and line in my own town and im not to concerned about gauges its just an up down rear setup (drag only ). so any input is helpful guys thanx
Matt
I was gonna type some stuff but then I saw the price.
Here you go........
That is a link to Darkstars for sale add. Complete kit with every thing you need to have front and back air ride for like $150 more.
-Brandon
that would work but being in canada eh airbagsource will give me free shipping and this will be bought in the spring not right now and im sure that kit will not be available by then.
ps canada sucks for getting air ride equipment
lol oh my bad.
Only thing I would recommend is that if you are only using (2) 3/8" valves, go with 1/2" line. I would also go with atleast a 450-480 compressor and atleast a 5 gal tank. That 2 gallon will not last for long at all.
-Brandon
ok so keep my 3/8 valves but use 1/2 inch line and go with a 5 gal and bigger comp?
ok so i changed to a 5gal but do i really need the the 480? its almost 100 bucks more so what would the fill time be between the 2.
I noticed you didnt have a
Pressure Switch.
ALSO**** I would highly recommend getting a
Water Trap.
Nah you dont have to go with the 480 but I would definately do atleast the 450. The only thing a 380 has on the 450 is the abilaty to go up to 200psi. However you said you only want this setup for dragging. If you are dragging down the road and your tank is full and you hit the switch to raise up, your rear end is more than likely gonna come off the ground at 200psi.
Here are the fill times for the 450c
5 Gallon Tank --- Fill Time
0 to 105 PSI ---- 4 MIN 20 SEC
0 to 145 PSI ---- 6 MIN 40 SEC
85 to 105 PSI --- 58 SECONDS
110 to 145 PSI -- 2 MIN 11 SEC
Here are the fill times for the 380c
5 Gallon Tank --- Fill Time
0 to 145 PSI ---- 8 MIN 35 SEC
0 to 200 PSI ---- 14 MIN 45 SEC
110 to 145 PSI -- 2 MIN 42 SEC
165 to 200 PSI -- 3 MIN 30 SEC

damn no free shipping lol would your shipping be from the border then or could i arrange to have it shipped to a border and then go pick it up im a half an hour from there lol .... and hopping is not entirely out of my thoughts lol but i dont think the cav would hold up to it
ok well i was talking to other ppl and i think im gonna go 1/2 inch lines and valves with prolly an 8 gal im not too concerned with the 380 on that cuz well if it runs for awhile it does ohh well. my maine concern is that if i drag for a bit and go to bring it back up i dont want it to hop all the time so how would i get around this??
Get a low pressure switch. Like a 110-145.
-Brandon
but then how do i get to 200psi so i can hop ........ i want my cake and eat it too
200psi is too much for the easystreet kit. 150 is the recommend max. w/ 1/2" lines and valves you shouldnt have a problem hopping it off the ground. i have 3/8" valves w/ 1/2" lines and w/ a full tank i can hop.
yeah just looked at that lol i feel dumb .... anyways anyone have a pic of how low the back gets with the east street kit and is there anycutting that is needed to get a little lower , i dont need to lay it out i just dont want to end up with a ridiculously huge drag bar off the back, pics would be great
r u only planning on bagging the rear of the car and not the front
yes i am does anyone have pic showing someones drag bar just trying to get an idea of what it will look like.
BTW redecocav thats probably the nicest 4 door ive seen and i hate 4 doors lol
buy a hidden hitch and mount blocks off of that.
I wouldnt suggest just bagging the rear of ur car. do the whole thing or not at all. everytime you adjust the rear u r going to throw off the suspension geometry of the front . You are never going to be able to keep a good alignment.
i know it will but ill deal ive seen it done before without a problem
Thanks. I just drug anything and everything out from under the car lol

120 is basicly the highest you can go and like 150-160 is the most you can get in the bag. im running a 450 compressor on a 145-175 switch and and can get my front wheels of the ground only when im driving. and the rear only hops once. if your worried about hopping more than anything go with cans. and for draging drag everything then replace it hahaha
ok so this is my setup up so far 8gal, viair 380c,1/2" fill, 3/8 dump so i dont slam into the ground 1/2inch lines also using 1/2 " manual valves on each bag to regulate the flow so i dont hop anytime its full, also using a 110-145 pressure switch ...
i know it will take alot of time to fill but other then that what do you think of that setup?
Thats close to what I have.
8gal
380c
(8) 3/8" valves
110-145
1/2" lines
-Brandon
does it hit hard in the back going down? do you think i got a good set up to work with?
