When lowering a cavalier (2000 2.2) with lowering springs, are new shocks needed, or what? I dont know alot about suspension and I was hoping someone could help me. I've searched it, but havent found much

Long story short....yes.

What springs are you planning on getting? This way we can better help you with struts.

Be advised that you will be paying a lot of money for this set-up. Suspension is not cheap at all.

rite away; no, but its HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by all and anyone on this forum that you change the struts when you lower. and if you did search in this forum, it wouldve popped up A LOT:

Is it physically possible to put lowering springs on stock struts, yes. If it's 1.4" or more it's dangerous though. The 1.2" and less will work, but it's really a good idea to put some kind of aftermarket on.
