As the subject says I searched and found a couple things on this but not really what I was looking for as most know I'm looking for a new suspension setup I was looking for a good 1.8 drop I was wondering if Tenzo R on Tokico HPs would work ? I was going to go with sportlines but with my kit I don't want to sit too low... any idea's or help would be great.
I have some Tenzos that I'll sell for $50 + shipping, btw. I had them on for a couple months and they're in great condition. Also, the Tenzo R springs would definitely work well with the Tokico D-Specs. Just don't use them with your stock struts because you'll bounce to the next county if you hit a pot hole. lol

I would suggest either KYB AGX shocks and struts with Eibach Pro Kit Springs, or the Tokico D-Spec full suspension setup. The Eibach Pro Kits will drop your car about 1.4", and the Tokico setup will drop your car about 1.6". I have the Tokico suspension on my car and love the way it rides. Make sure thet when you buy drop springs to buy struts and shocks that can handle the drop. If your springs are rated and around 1.5" or less, the KYB AGX's will be fine. Any more of a drop than that, you will either need Koni Yellows which are good for a 2.5-3" drop, or the Tokico D-Specs which are good to 2". Whatever you do, do not install drop springs on your stock struts and shocks. Yhey cannot handle the spring rates and suspension travel.
And to add to what I said, you will blow the stock struts and shocks with drop springs, and you will be bouncing like crazy everytime you hit a bump or pothole. NOT SAFE AT ALL.
I bounce like crazy now are the KYB AGX a direct bolt up?? how would KYB AGX work with Tenzo I might have to take Sasuke up on the offer lol
LoL! They're sitting around and up for the taking.
My e-mail is semfikapp@yahoo.com if you decide to get them.

Ummm...no. The Tenzo springs are rated at a 1.8" drop. They KYB AGX struts and shocks are only warrantied for a 1.5" drop or less. I would suggest going with the slighly more expensive Tokico D-Specs, which are warrantied for a drop in the 1.5" to 2" range.

All good information. Follow this and you'll be happy you did. Do not use Tokico HPs.
Koni Yellows are the only ones that need modifications to your suspension, they are the "best" (most durable struts only), most expensive, and "hardest" to install (although not must worse really).
I'm going with the Tenzo springs and the Tokico D-Specs ordering it today and i'm getting the springs from sasuke.... thanks for all the help guys looks like i found my suspension after forever of searching lol
ok and just so I have this right D-specs are a direct bolt on right?? I don't have to mod anything??
Yeah, no modding... Two big bolts on the knuckle and one top nut. Exact same as the stock stuff.
Ok thanks for all the help
yea unlike konis, the front for the d-specs are a complete replacement. makes for an easy swap. to make it even more easier if you want, get an extra set of strut mounts this way you can pre-assemble everything for the new setup then when it time to put the new stuff in all you have to do is take the bolts out of the strut tower and the 2 bolts at the bottom and just put in the new stuff. saves alot of time and you can probably do the swap in 1/2 the amount of time

Thats exactly what I did when I installed my Tokico D Spec suspension. It took me only 2 hours to do the entire suspension swap.
I love how people assume konis are the "most" durable. I've yet to see anyone complain about a set of D-Specs, let alone blow a set, I think we should give them some time until we come to that conclusion. Granted, konis have definitely proven themselves to be tough, but don't assume the D-Specs are any worse. Not really a beef, just an observation.
BTW I <3 my D-Specs
if it hasnt already been said, tokico HP's are stock oem replacements....
similar to kyb gr2's, gabriel vst's...
if you plan to be at 1.8, get D specs...
also do realize if you are one who is particularly picky, springs can and will be slightly uneven from corner to corner.... dependin on how the weight is distributed within the car.
and theres no way to really control it as with coilovers.
I'm doing tenzo and d-specs
