should be just fine..but youll have to swap out the latch system...prophecy on v6z24 tired to put a ph2 on a ph1, and it didnt work out cause of the latch being differnt on the hood. you can put a ph1 on the ph2 with no problems in swapping the latch on the hood, but not so much with a ph2 on a ph1...

Yup will swap.

However! With the flipup lights you WILL have to cut a bit of the hood to keep from rubbing the headlamp doors when they open and close! I had this issue with my car.
You'll see what I mean wehn you look at it.

If it has the different latch setup. Its easy to swap it over to the new hood.

I did this with mine. Used a phase1 on my phase 2. just had to swap the latch over to work right.

:O Seriously! Holy crap.. well... You are supposed to bolt it in properly and make sure it all bolts up and the secondary latch actually works...

I've had my z24 hood on my bird for 4 years or so. And have never had any issues with it other than scraping the paint on my headlamp doors before I realized I had to clearance the hood a bit in the underbracing at the h/lamp doors when they open up.

Used proper hardware and redrilled the latch holes in the right spots on mine and have never had any issues.

some cavalier hood have diffeent latches then sunbirds which means cutting eith the hood latches oe the rad support if its that cass, you dont have to worry about clearance/rubbing issues all the hood are factory same specs you might have to losen your fenders to gap properly, and dont worry about the issue about the flolding lights and rubbing all 4 of the sunbirds i'v owned have done it,its easy but you need to re-paint them, just take the grinder to them and take it down a bit for clearance, and sand them for cosmetics,i have a 94 z24 hood on my 90 sunbird SSE and i had to chang my rad support as well for the latch mec. and it was worth it it makes the look of the car.

i guess it just depends on how many pot holes were smoked in that paticular car in the front, your to get a tight car that doesnt rub

The latchs will need to be changed but one problem you might have is if the headlights are mounted onto the bracket your taking off there will be no supports holding the inside of the headlights What i had to do was use both the new bracket and the old one and just cut off the hood latch peice and leave the bracket. Works great!
