i posted before christmas, and i got the motor out this past weekend. i was wondering what else had to be done to the 2.0L sunbird before it was ready for the 3.1...besides the computer and wiring. what about cv joints and what else should i hall outta the 3.1 car. im just wondering what else i should expect.....

wiring, computer, axles, tranny, clutch, rad, hoses, throttle cable, power steering pump, alternator, all need changing. there is likley more, i just cant think of it.

is there any parts on the 2.0L that will fit the 3.1.....just wondering

yo its me again. i swapped the motors, and almost got the 3.1 running, just some more wiring and some rad mods i got to do. i was wondering if the fuel pump will work or should i take the one outta the 3.1. i was assuming i had to do this but why do something i dont have to.

the sunbird uses tbi. tbi is a low fuel pressure setup, around 13psi. the pump will at most put out 20psi. a 3.1l is mpfi, and uses 43psi, and the pump will actualy hold 80psi. so you need to swap the pump.

Yeah 9-13 psi is standard fuel pressure on a 2.0 tbi that's one thing I know for sure,I changed my pump bk in 99.Took only 3hrs for the whole job minus the mess and getting tools out and so forth.
