Figured I'd post a sort of technical piece. I am in the process of putting 3rd gen brakes on the 87 RS Conv. Parts needed for the swap include: 3rd gen spindles (can cut off tie rod connection if desired); 3rd gen lower strut bolts and nuts; 3rd gen calipers, brake pads, and rotors.
Good: better braking using stock parts without the need to bend brake lines or run the spindles on the opposite side for which they were designed (as in the 92 - 94 brake upgrade)
Bad: loose the ability to run a 13" rim
If someone is willing to host some pics, I will post the process and final result.

why bother with all that work??? just bolt on 92+ brakes, they are the same size and bolt right on.
My front end is currently apart for a rebuild. Had the parts from my 98. Really no extra work. Mounting a 3rd gen or late 2nd gen spindle takes the same amount of time.

Someone on this forum already did this swap, and I agree with sharkey, just do the 92+ brake swap. This way you dont have to hack off the steering arm, or have an exrta steering arm, lol
