I left a note with j-body.org, but nobody new has shown up
The skyhawks had the Premium interior option in my opinion!!!! I in fact have the front two bucket seats for orlen in my attic since last October.He came down for some parts and I just forgot to bring them out of the attic for him to pick up.Duh on my part.Buick did do some real justice on the interior quality for the J body as my junkyarding has seen that first hand.The cavalier was 2nd with the Z or type 10 the Pontiac sunbird was kind of lackluster on the ones I came across.It was a branding in design or quality or appeal.The link you shared was very nice and I can really appreciate that car being a (MANUAL) as my old 85 is too!!!!
As if I wasn't mad enough about missing Allentown, you had to rub it in...
Was that the only 'Hawk? I saw precisely zero in Springfield last year. I'm hoping to get mine to Brookfield next year.
Mine isn't a T-type, though I sure wish it were. When I turbo'd my '83 I had never seen a turbo installation before, but I started working with a girl who had a black T just like this one. I'm sure I have some pix of it (on film) somewhere.
I should have told her I wanted her car if she ever sold it.

You had wanted to come to Allentown? Just for this show?
This was the only Hawk, not an H-body in sight either.
Hi Wayne.
I finally showed! You took great pics. Thank you! My wonderful BlackHawk, 1.8 litre Turbo T-type Skyhawk coupe, is totally original including the paint. It has new tires , battery, etc but I have tried my best to keep this all Delco. I hit 51,000 miles driving it to this Buick Show in Alllentown, Pa. where you saw the car. I have owned the car for 5 years and it came from a defunct museum in Michigan. This museum had to be liquidated as a result ot the recession and I was lucky enuf to get it for thru the resulting auction at a more than reasonable price. I have received 2 major awards for this car both for its originality; one from the Buick Club of America and the other from AACA. . This is my only J-body and I have a feeling its one of the best originals out there, especially of such a rare model. I do prefer smaller GMs and also have some nice A, X, N & T bodies.
If you have any questions please ask.
Best, Pat
Wow, that's an amazing 'Hawk, Pat. The only one like it I've seen in person was the one my friend had in college and that was over 20 years ago. I look forward to parking next to you at a future BCA meet! (Wanna come to
Kansas in October?
)
