Replaced all the plugs on the Cimarron and this is what they looked like. They are pictured in the order that they came out of the 2.8 as viewed looking at the engine from the front of the car.
Also I found that the Oxygen sensor was disconnected. I did reconnect the Oxygen sensor and the car is running pretty good and starts right up. Also the previous owner replaced the distributor and never timed it with a light. I will get to that this weekend.
Just wondering if anyone can tell from the plugs just what is going on.
Looks like 2 cylinders were running very lean
Disconnected O2 sensor cause this?
Is the one electrode burnt off? With the plugs all looking different, I suspect timing. Some look rich, while others look lean. I'd get the timing straightened out and go from there.

this, and also getting some real plugs in there (delco or NGK) and not champions. you have two good plugs (4 and 5), two lean plugs (2 and 3) and two rich plugs (1 and 6).

The O2 unhooked and untimed combo of lean to rich and those plugs probably are wayyyy old.I say new ac delco those tend to run the best in mine(preference).I say get it timed and issue should be gone with the miles it actually has.Should be fine otherwise.
