86 Z24 on ebay

Wish this was closer to New England! Are those rims original to the 1986?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-Chevrolet-Cavalier-Z24-Conv-/180719201614?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2a13b42d4e#v4-40

Original 1986 Z24 Convertible. 4 speed manual transmission. 112300 miles. The car is driven daily and accumulates approximately 75-100 miles a week. I am the third owner of the car. I purchased the vehicle from an elderly couple who owned it since 1994. Previous owner trailered the vehicle behind their motorhome, and never driving it in snow. The car is 99% rust free. Only spot of rust is coming through a 1/2 inch nick on the lip of the trunk lid. The previous owner used touch up paint and the rust is starting to bleed through it, as shown in the picture. The car has never been touched. Original electric convertible top and boot cover. No holes or rips. Does not leak. The top is cracking on the sides where it folds down into the car. The rear window is plastic and has a "foggy" look to it. The car is missing some snaps to the cover, but the cover holds tight and does not flap in the wind. Interior of car is great with no holes or tears in seats. New tires, less than 3 thousand miles. Newer exhaust, alternator and ignition control module. The only part that does not work is the windshield washer. I installed an aftermarket cd player, but still have the original cassette player and will be included with vehicle purchase. Car is sold AS IS!

Yes those rims were an option on '86-87 z24's. My aunt had those on her blue '87 z24 notchback coupe. She loved that car too bad she put it into a ditch and bent the frame.

DONT BUY IT!!! This is the car I bought, paid $500 to ship to Ohio and it died withing 500 yards of my house. Has a computer issue or something. Body is NOT in good shape and the half shaft need replaced. This guy is just trying to find another less informed sucker to buy it. Screw him! DONT BUY IT! I bet he didn't fix a damn thing! Spread the word

It's a 1986 Cavalier, it's going to have issues.......

Then be honest and say what the issues are....if you are going to ask for full retail, the car should run and not need $3000 in repairs

Not worth what they want. That is car no different than mine other than some trim pieces and dash. Real differences in the Z24 didn't show up until 87 when they added the cowl hood, suspension upgrades etc.

Beech- just what are those suspension differences between an 86 and 87 Z24? As an 86 owner I am curious to know.

Noted are the cowl hood that looks nice (no change in HP), minor engine electronics changes, undernose valence, and flang/gasket changes to helped reduce leaks in the LB6.
