Hey all, I just picked up an 86 Sunbird Convertible for parts.
The engine rattles and knocks and she'll blow soon.
All I really needed was the spare tire and jack and the radio....and left fender.
Car is red with gray interior, white ratty top. Power windows, power locks, trunk release, cruise, tach and gauges, and tilt.
I have an 84 vert and will probablly use some other parts.
I'll get pictures up this weekend hopefully.
Car is in central Iowa
Is the car auto or manual,I need the plastic sleeve for a manual to put the car in reverse.This sleeve pulls the plastic tie strap up or down.If it is auto no parts are needed here.Thanks tho.And this part is on the shifter below the shifter knob.

I am looking for outside rear window trim and upper door trim if in good shape. Mine are falling to pieces.
The car is an automatic. Everything looks to be preaty decent.
Right door is rippled up top and rust in door jambs near hinges.
I'll probablly be stripping it down to the bone since I could use the floors.
Not that I need another project, but the 84 was bought new by my mother.....

If its the outside trim at the top of the door, the 86 is black, but the 84 (mine anyway) trim is chrome.

What part of the power windows? Everything including the glass and wireing?
I cut the wires while removing the doors today.....and that dash was way too difficult to remove!
Glad it was cracked before I started.

I am only keeping the car for a very short time.....like 1 week.
Early wheels, counsol, doors and door panels, rear interior, tach and gauges,
front header panel and inner structure. Fenders, cutting out rear quarters...hood...
starter, alternator, cruise, tilt column with cruise.....
Cutting out the floors but I am using them.
third brake light, tail lights, shifter, .....
Car had the side mirror remote, but the drivers door had the adjuster on the mirror?
The switch knob came out of the dash bezel..........
I sent you a PM (at least I think I did)... I would need regulators/motors, switches pods, and as much wiring as you can, or at least the plugs for the switches...
Not sure if the rear quarter windows are power, but I just need the door regulators and such, since I have a hard top...

Just returned your PM... Checked out your pix, and I see a foglight switch. Did this car have foglights? I would be interested in the lights in any condition. I'm just really looking for the connectors.
BTW, that didn't take long. I've got a Chevy van I've been parting out for quite some time, and it never seems like I make any progress... Although, I finally got all the seats and carpet out last night...
So you just want me to snip the wire going to where the fog lamp would plug in (one whole dolla)?
You can get the lamp/bulb new.
Did you want the fog light lenses as well? (1 dolla fo each one)

Karl: I am looking for the remote mirror switch that was on the dash..do you still have it....I found a source for the door trim moulding clips 2 days ago.. I have about 50 of them, new now....anyone need a few? ...

I guess I'll find out once I start stripping those doors for the power window stuff....
the drivers mirror has the manual knob, but has been replaced...
