Hello Everybody,
I was slightly dissapointed with the last meets turn out. On the plus side the people that always show did, but there where still many missing. I'm sorry that we had to deal with a 2 hour wait as well but I don't see why people had to leave that where already there. So I have learned that even though I enjoyed Dave & Busters and thought it was a good time for those of us that stayed we will not be returning there next year for our end of summer gathering.
As for September there has been some suggestions from members to have the meeting at a race track. I agree that this would be enjoyable. Some can just spectate while others race. Considering the drastic differences between everybodies cars this will not be a challange event it will be purely just for fun. And a chance to get some people to the track that have not been to one yet, and learn from some of the veterans that have many passes on their seat already. The only problem would be if we can actually get into the track for our meet day. September does not look so good and if neither of the two weekends will work I am going to inquire about October/November and we will just come up with somewhere else to meet for September.
The two tracks that I am looking at are Englishtown and Atco. I will be calling this week to discuss with them the ability for us to have our own lane and be able to put in as many runs as we would like. Here are the two tracks saturday schedules for September 15 and 22:
Englishtown:
September 15) 31st Annual TBG US Diesel Truckin Nationals & Motorsports Spectacular Presented by Elizabeth Truck Center. N [Obviously out]
September 22) Street Muffled vehicles only. Open 9AM Mitsubishi/EVO Day. SRT4. SCCCA Autocros 9AM. R/C 1/8 Mile. [It's possible we could get in on this day]

September 15) 12:00 PM KING OF THE TRACK CHAMPIONS RACE [Not sure if we would be allowed in here I will try]
September 22) 7:00 AM NHRA P.C. RICHARD & SONS LUCAS OIL POINTS SERIES NHRA POINTS SERIES QUALIFYING ELIMINATIONS [This doesn't look like we could be allowed in]
Assuming we can't get in this month any other suggestions for meet locations?

The reason I did not look at the 29th is because that pretty much puts us into October. I prefer the meets to be 2nd or 3rd last friday of the month. I will be calling on my lunch break for details of both race tracks of either of the available weekends. At the least I will know today how accomodating Englishtown is. Car shows would be a good idea. Everybody has to remember though if you don't feel your car is show quality or you don't want to show it doesn't mean you don't have to be at the meet. Come and support those that do show.

Car Parts go the page with the * on it or basically start with the lowest price and call around asking for condition and what not. It can't hurt to just ask condition and price. Write down the details and then pick a place to get everything from. Hell who knows maybe one of the yards will give you a good price and hand you a full package deal, could be wishful thinking but give it a shot.

Left a message yesterday for Raceway Park. Still nothing back. Will keep you guys posted. I will give it until Friday at which point I will call one more time and if no response I will contact ATCO.

Does the racing have to be on a weekend? Cause atco has open session throughout the week, and your usually guranteed atleast 2-3 runs.
hey guys. i live in PA. but if you guys are getting togetther at a track, id gladly meet you there. never been to one, woul dlove to go. i might be able to get 2 cobalts as well. i wanted to go last month, just it was the wrong weekend for me.
the 29th, im goin gto wildwood, nj. maybe i can leave there and meet you guys there, and then go back, if you choose that weekend, dont matter to me.

Jerseycavyz24 we have meets on the weekend because it is more difficult to get together during the week. I know myself for instance works full time during the day then I have school at night so I am not available until after 10:30 PM. Also even Raceway Park will give us at least 3 runs I'm trying to make sure we can get more like 5-10 runs if not better.

Yea thats what i figured. Would be awesome to get that many runs, both pretty busy tracks.

True they both are busy however with Raceway Park I know that November is a slow season for them and it could be quite possible to actually have our own lane that month and get a bunch of runs in. I will in contact with them by the end of the week to determine which month will be best for us. The other advantage to racing later in the year is cooler air making faster passes

OK so apparently everybody at raceway park has put their phones on ignore all calls from Festa. So this week I am going to try and get in contact with Atco but I highly doubt we will be racing this month. Where is the car show list?

Doesn't look like we are hitting the track this month. Maybe we can try again in October. Probably the best bet would be just show up on an open track night and run. If we want our own event we would have to pick a time of year next year and get it on a schedule. So where does everyone want to return to for this meet? One last SeaSide meet for the year?
